Cersei's gaze wandered as her husband droned on again. It wasn't often that she was interested in the man's thoughts, but she had to play the obedient wife. She knew better than anyone that she was the person in their relationship who truly held the reigns, but the show to put on was more important that fact.

Her green eyes fell upon her brother, the man who left the womb with her and remained by her side no matter what. She loved him, in almost every way that one could, but still she say dutifully by her husband, the king, and drew her eyes away. Cersei could not allow anybody to notice where her glance had lingered, because just the most innocent of questions in their direction could be the end of every. And so she waited.
